Hello everyone!
Tuesday was an exciting day. We started off the day with a morning circle. Shortly after that, the campers played Capture the Flag and explored the barn area.
Morning activities included shelter making with Chantelle, Tammy, and Julie. The campers started to make a teepee in the woods. One of the campers told me that the base was being built. When making the shelter, the campers found many insects including salamanders and slugs. Allie and Laura took campers out to collect boat-making supplies. Some campers came with me to the porch to work on bracelets. Necklaces, bracelets and even rings were made!
After the morning work block, all the campers ate their lunches and then had quiet time. The sanding continued from the previous day and some campers are making awesome progress. The sanding of larger wood squares is preparation for another fun activity in the next week.
In the first afternoon block, one group of campers cut vegetables for the stone soup. They brought in some great components! Another group worked on para cord bracelets. The bracelets are already starting to look awesome. In the second afternoon block, a group ventured out into the misty rain for a fun stalking exercise. One group continued to work on their paracord bracelets as the others finished up their boats for pond day tomorrow.
Tomorrow for Pond Day we just want to remind the campers to bring the following items if desired:
-swimsuit
-plastic bag for wet clothes
- two towels
- water shoes & goggles
Can't wait for Pond Day!
